The AC 4000 is a feature full access control & time recording fingerprint terminal. Standard features include: A large backlit LCD, Virdi's patented biometric scanner with live + fake finger detection & auto scan, RFID or Mifare card reader, 4 function keys, full numerical keypad, Wiegand interface (both IN & OUT), lock relay, door status monitor, alarm interface, RS485 Secure Transmission Protocol (STP)/RS232 port and TCP/IP interface, intercom interface, can handle 22 000 users (22 000 templates with between 1 and 5 templates per user) and stores 250 000 transactions. The AC 4000 can operate as a standalone device or be managed via a PC/Server.
