It has a broad-spectrum microcide and bactericid effect and is also effective  against  gram (+)  and  gram (-) bacteria. This effect starting with a film layer formation on the wound, continues for a long time with microcide effect of the controlled iodine released from this film layer in time. Since the film layer doesn't block the contact of skin with air, it is also used for bloody, mattery and serous wounds.
