Over 40 year old carved wooden staff from the (yoruba) African Tribe from Nigeria. this staff was used by a late traditional chief/king. The wood carving/ art showcases two sets of mothers backing their child using a local wrapper called (oja), the artwork is about 2 to 3 feet tall and the carving is made from the hardest of woods (iroko tree), an iroko tree in africa grows and remains for hundreds of years before being felled and used by the kings, chiefs, the rich or traditional purposes.
