White boards, or dry-erase boards, are standard equipment for the conference room as well as the classroom. It is important to clean the white board daily with a whiteboard eraser and dry-erase spray cleaner. As white board erasers are used, some of the dry-erase marker ink residue will remain on the erasers necessitating cleaning of the erasers.
Dry-erasers are typically made from spongy foam, chenille or felt. Most dry-erasers may be cleaned with mild soap and water. Check the manufacturer's recommendations prior to cleaning.
instruction:
Gather two large bowls and a hand towel. Fill one bowl with warm water and a small amount of a mild detergent. Fill the second bowl with clean rinse water.
2 Holding the eraser with the pad side down, dip the eraser in the soapy water and rub the pad surface to remove the marker residue.
3 Dip the eraser in the rinse water and squeeze the soapy water out of the eraser, holding the handle out of the water.
4 Ring the water out of the eraser by squeezing the pad surface. Blot the remaining moisture on the hand towel.
5 Lay the eraser with the pad side up and allow to air dry. Once dry, fluff the pad of the eraser and spray a mist of dry-erase spray to eliminate any stiffness.
