Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT)
Cheng Yu Plastichas developed a wide range of general purposes and specialty grades PBT compounds applicable to electrical, electronic (E&E), automotive, hair beauty and appliances industries.
The PBT compounds in general have excellent mechanical, physical properties as well as thermal resistance. Furthermore, they exhibit good chemical resistance; dimensional stability, color-ability and better hydro-stability compare to Nylon compounds, which make it a popular selection for E&E components and parts where heat and humidity are always a challenge.
Non-halogenated flame retardant PBT are also developed for eco-friendly applications. All our products are subject to in-house testing using international recognized standards to ensure quality could meet the different safety and environmental regulations.

1. Glass Fiber reinforced
(T888G1-G15 / T889G2-G25 / T890G3)
These are Glass Fiber (GF) reinforced PBT with excellent thermal resistant and mechanical properties suitable for sporting and leisure equipment components and parts.
Applications
Snowboard, sporting apparatus.
2. Flame Retardant
(T881)
This is unfilled Flame Retardant (FR) PBT with UL94 V0 rating for applications of thin wall products.
Applications
Thin-walled products, connectors, industrial plugs and sockets.
3. FR + GF
(T882GV1-GV15 / T883GV2-GV25 / T885GV3)
These are FR PBT reinforced with GF to achieve UL94 V0 ratings that offers balanced properties for various E&E applications. This product line is excellent for high CTI, GWIT applications in the lighting, automotive and appliances industries.

Sensor components, connectors / plugs, lamp parts, hot air gun assemblies, automotive under-hood, sockets, power box, circuit breaker housing, and heater fan.
4. Non-Halogen FR + GF
(TN5015 / TN5030)
These are non-halogenated FR PBT reinforced with GF achieving UL94 V0 ratings offering balanced properties for eco-friendly applications. This product line is also suitable for high CTI, GWIT applications in the lighting, automotive and appliances industries.
