The spray drying technology of the centrifugal spray dryer refers to the method of spray, so that the materials are dispersed in the hot gas flow in the form of droplets, the materials are in full contact with the hot gas, the process of heat and mass transfer is completed in an instant, and the solvent is quickly evaporated into gas to achieve the purpose of drying. The technology can eliminate unit operations such as evaporation, crystallization, separation and crushing, and can be produced continuously and automatically with stable operation.
The centrifugal spray dryer adopts this drying method. The gas-solid two-phase contact surface area is large and the drying time is short, generally 5 ~ 30 seconds. It is suitable for drying heat sensitive materials. The product obtained by drying has good performance, small particles, good fluidity and instant solubility. The disadvantage is that the dryer has large volume and low heat transfer coefficient, resulting in low thermal efficiency and large power consumption.
What is the operating knowledge of centrifugal spray dryer?

1. Pre use inspection
(1) whether the pipeline connection is equipped with sealing materials and whether the sealing performance is good.
(2) whether the sealing ring falls off and whether there is air leakage during use.
(3) check the lubrication of fan, shut-off fan and atomizer to see if they are well lubricated.
(4) whether the regulating butterfly valve at the fan inlet is open.
(5) whether the connecting pipes of the feed pump are well connected and whether the rotation direction of the motor and pump is correct.
(6) it is forbidden to idle the feed pump to avoid damaging the stator. After use, it shall be closed in time.
(7) check whether the steering of the atomizer is correct and whether the water cooling is smooth.
2. Operating procedures
(1) start the fan, and then start the electric heating to check whether there is air leakage. If not, preheat the cylinder. When preheating, pay attention to close the valve at the blanking port.
(2) when the inlet temperature of the drying chamber reaches 180 ℃ -220 ℃, open the centrifugal nozzle to make it rotate.
(3) when the nozzle reaches the maximum speed, turn on the feed pump to add liquid material. Pay attention to the amount from small to large until it is appropriate. The concentration of the feed liquid shall be determined according to the drying nature of the material.
(4) during the drying process, pay attention to the exhaust temperature and ensure that it is a constant.
(5) after drying, collect the finished products, and then carry out subsequent operations.
