  • Standard fibrous mats can cause corrosion underneath the insulation layer. Hydrophobic mats repel water and therefore minimize the risk of corrosion.

     

    For many years, aerogel mats have been the only solution to prevent corrosion. However, the handling of aerogel mats is less than ideal as they generate a lot of dust.

     

    The patented Super Mat is a hydrophobic insulation mat that combines all the outstanding properties of aerogel mats without the bothersome dust generation. Using different base fibers, the Super Mat is available for three different temperature ranges: up to 649 degrees C, up to 760 degrees C, or even up to 982 degrees C. That makes it the perfect all weather outdoor insulation material. It is however not recommended for INDOOR applications which operate above 315 degrees C.

     

    The Super Mat comes in various sizes, thicknesses, and densities, making the handling and installation easier than ever before.
