The so-called wireless network refers to the network that can realize the interconnection of various communication devices without wiring. Wireless network technologies range from global voice and data networks that allow users to establish wireless connections over long distances to infrared and radio-frequency technologies optimized for close
range wireless connections. Wireless networks are commonly combined with telecommunications networks and do not require cables to connect nodes to each other. Wireless networks are generally used in remote information transmission systems using electromagnetic waves, such as networks using radio waves as carrier and physical layer, such as LTE, Wi-Fi, CDMA2000, etc.

At present, wireless local area network is based on IEEE802.11 technology standard, which is also called WIFI network. Wireless WAN and wireless LAN are not completely independent of each other. They can be combined to provide more powerful wireless network services. Wireless LAN enables access users to share information within the local area, while wireless WAN enables access users to share information outside the local area. Wireless MAN is a wireless network that allows users to access a fixed location. It connects multiple fixed locations in a city or region. A wireless personal LAN is a wireless network where a user connects his portable device wirelessly over a short distance through a communication device.
