Camels receiving high quality alfalfa hay in their regular diet will surely receive all the nutrients, which are required for good health. But alfalfa hay is scarce especially in dry areas because it needs much water to grow. This scarcity may be a reason to use alfalfa pellets in your camels diet. Pellets are good for long storage and transportation saving the same nutrients as usual fresh alfalfa hay.
