LNG, NLNG (Nigerian Liquified Natural Gas) NLNG (Nigerian Liquified Natural Gas) company located in Bonny Island, has a total production capacity of about 22 Million Tons Per Annum (mtpa) of LNG and 5mtpa of Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) from its six-train plant complex. Typically, LNG is 85 to 95-plus percent Methane, along with a few percent Ethane, even less Propane and Buthane, and trace amount of Nitrogen. The exact composition of natural gas, and the LNG formed from it, varies according to its source and processing history. LNG is a clear, colorless, odorless, non-corrosive, non-toxic liquid that is formed when natural gas is cooled to around -260 Fahrenheit. This shrinks/compresses the volume to about 600 times, making the resource more easier to store and transport through marine shipment. The three major use of this product are; Heating, Electricity Generation and for Industrial use, amomgst others. |
