Bentonite is a mud constituent for Oil well drilling. Its key role is to seal the borehole walls, to remove drill cuttings and to lubricate the cutting head.

Sohar Ashapura Chemicals LLC manufactures API grade Bentonite in its 200, 000 TPA manufacturing plant in Oman. The plant is ISO 9001: 2008 and also API Certified.

In addition to Bentonite API, plant also manufactures Bentonite IOP, Bauxite, Barite 4.1 & Barite 4.2.
