Introduction of Gear Shaft:
Gear shaft is the mechanical part which supports the rotation components and rotates together with it to transmit the movement, torque, or the bending moment. The diameter of each paragraph can be different. The gear shaft mainly bears the alternating load, impact load, shear stress, and contact stress. In order to avoid the crack of the shaft and the abrasion of the gear teeth, the heart of the gear shaft needs certain strength and toughness, high fatigue limit and repeated impact resistance, and certain hardness and abrasion performance.

Classification:
1.According to the shape of the axis trace, it can be divided into bent axis and straight axis.
2.According to the axis bearing condition, it can be divided into rotary shaft, mandrel, and transmission shaft.
Processing technique (e.g. 45#)
1.Blank cutting
2.Lathe roughing
3.Quenching and tempering (enhance the toughness of the gear shaft and the shaft rigidity)
4.FT (finish turning)
5.It can be manufactured first if there is key slot on the gear shaft.
6.Gear hobbing
7.Tooth surface intermediate frequency quenching (the pinion used by high-frequency quenching), HRC48-58 (the precise HRC is determined by the elements of working condition, load, and so on)
8.Gear grinding
9.Final inspection of the finished products
The choice of the material:
The material should have good mechanical properties. It usually adopts steel 42CrMo to achieve the required performance by normalizing, quenching and tempering, induction hardening and low temperature tempering. (Or as the customers requires)
