Type 88-1 Combined pH Electrode with Plastic Body
1. Usage:
This electrode consists of a sensitive glass electrode combined with a silver/silver chloride electrode. Owing to that the casing of electrode is made up of plastics, it possesses many characteristics such as good lightproof and difficulty to break etc. It may be used for measuring the pH value of aqueous solution without another reference electrode.

3.Maintenance and notes:
(1) Whenever a new electrode is used for the first time or used once again after laying for a long time, immerse the glass bulb in distilled water about 8 hrs. Too much distilled water is unnecessary. Care must be taken to let the liquid junction of outer reference electrode not immerse in water.
(2) During measurement, both the glass bulb and the liquid junction of outer reference electrode should be immersed completely in the solution to be measured. When another solution will be measured, rinse the bulb thoroughly with distilled water first to avoid impurities being brought into solution.
(3) When not in use, put on the protective cover so as to avoid the evaporation of solution in the outer reference electrode through the liquid junction and the damage of electrode
(4) It cannot be used in non-aqueous solution.
(5) The insulated parts of plug should be kept clean and dry.
