What is Microsilica
Microsilica or Silica Fume, which it is made from the oxidized silicon vapor of silicon iron or element
silicon with special dust catcher and final turn out amorphous SiO2 powder.
Average particle size of Microsilica is around 0.15~0.20μm, specific area is 15000~20000m 2 /kg, and they are with
Strong surface activity.
The main element of Microsilica is amorphous SiO2. Besides, the burner gas accompanies impurity. Like dissociate
C, Fe2O3、CaO、K2O、Na2O and etc. The Microsilica Color along with the higher content of C、Fe2O3, the deeper
color is changed from White-Grey White-Grey-Deep Grey.
By directly collected Microsilica from burner is named Original Micro silica. The bulk density is around 150~300kg/m3.
But for the convenience transportation and application, the Original Microsilica can be increased bulk density.
