Crimson quartz sandstone is unique and very nice stone. It is very close in characteristics to the famous Crimson Quartzite and quarried in just steps from the only one deposit of the Crimson Quartzite in the world - Shocsha deposit in the Nord-west of Russia Federation. Crimson quartzite has a storied history of using as a decorative stone for dressing of monumental architectural structures. It may be used to cover walls, as roofing tiles, as flooring, stairsteps andpavement stones. It is very resistant to chemical aggression, so as a crushed stone it may be used in landscape gardening, as a filler in an ornamental concrete and even in highway construction. Since quartz sandstone has a very high quartz content it is presently used as a source of silica for manufacturing of glass and refractory products.
Possible use of Crimson Quartzite includes fireplaces, fountains, flowerpots, kitchen countertops, various architectural elements, tombstones.
