Pekalongan became one of the famous batik producers. Pekalongan city has a pretty quirky nickname that is the city of batik Pekalongan, to make the city into the network of creative city of UNESCO in the category of crafts & folk art at the end of 2014 and has a city branding that is the World's city of Batik.
Original Batik Pekalongan famous for the term coastal batik rich in color. Thus, this coastal batik is more famous for its ornamental naturalist and modified with interesting color variations. In fact, in a piece of Pekalongan batik cloth we can find up to 8 colors thick, and a dynamic combination.
There may be any remaining wax on the sheet of cloth, this is not dirt, but the rest of the writing during batik depiction, just soak it with warm water then wax will come off.
