Alfa Laval introduced a new series of air unit coolers, AlfaCubic. Recently the family of air heat exchangers received an addition of a high pressure series that can withstand pressure up to 50 bar.
The new series has been designed for use in medium size cold rooms up to 400m³. The design allows for easy maintenance with immediate access to vital inspection areas. The high pressure series is available as an evaporator in pump operation for CO2 refrigerant allowing the unit to work down to -50°C in deep freeze rooms.
All construction details are optimized to obtain the greatest heat exchange efficiency and the lowest refrigerant charge. Fins of aluminium, with special corrugation, are attached to optimize the thermal exchange coefficient on the air side and minimize the defrosting time.
The AlfaCubic range available with Ø 400 and 500 mm fans. Motors are available as single-phase 230V-50Hz, or three phase 400V-50Hz, with protection degree IP54 according to DIN 40050. Epoxy painted galvanized steel fan guard grilles secure limited maintenance. The casing of aluminium epoxy painted provides high mechanical resistance and excellent corrosion strength. Integrated thermal protection by thermo contact provide reliable protection against thermal overload.
