Jiangsu Fenghai New Energy Desalination Development Co., Ltd. is a science and technology demonstration enterprise to develop and promote new energy desalination technology. The original intention of its foundation and mission is to use new energy for seawater desalination and explore the solution to water shortage problem in China and the whole world. Founded on 19th March, 2013, the company is located in the east side of Lingang Avenue, Dafeng District, Jiangsu province. Its shareholders are Jiangsu Dafeng Harbor Holdings Ltd., Govtor, China National Salt Industry Corporation, China National Pharmaceutical Group and Harbin Electric Corporation. The total investment is RMB 288 million and registered capital RMB 180 million. The company covers an area of 130 mu (1 mu equals to 0.0667 hectare). The major construction includes water intake and pretreatment system, seawater desalination system, bottle (barrel) filling system, microgrid system four process systems. The design capacity of desalinated water yield is 10,000T per day and the phase I yield is 5,000T. The core technology of this company is "large-scale non-grid-connected wind power seawater desalination technology", which is authenticated by China High-Tech Industrialization Seminar of international advanced level as scientific achievements. Its 10,000T level new energy seawater desalination equipment set has been affirmed as the first important set in Jiangsu province.
